UPL to close for winter break

University Procurement and Logistics will be closed in alignment with the university's extended winter break from Saturday, December 23, 2023, through Tuesday, January 2, 2024. We will reopen and all services will resume (with potential delays due to backlog) on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
Procurement: Requisitions, purchase orders, and bid opportunities will be paused during the winter break. Spartan Marketplace will be available for ordering needs, although availability of order fulfillment and delivery will vary by supplier.
PCard: University stakeholders can still make purchases via PCard during the winter break, although cardholders will need to accept packages personally at their campus address. Orders can be shipped to a home address with approval by the cardholder’s unit leadership. If a PCard is lost or stolen, please report it immediately to Bank of America at (888) 449-2273.
Accounts Payable: The final supplier payments (both ACH and physical checks) of the 2023 calendar year will occur on Thursday, December 21, with 2024 payments beginning Thursday, January 4. Supplier check pickup will not be available on December 26, December 28, nor January 2.
Capital Asset Management: CAM-assisted asset audits will be paused during the holiday break. All handheld barcode scanners out for loan must be returned by 5 p.m. on Friday, December 22, unless otherwise approved by the CAM team. Approval must be requested by 5 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2023.
Logistics: Incoming shipments received at 166 Service Road and campus deliveries will be paused during the break. Any campus deliveries required during the break will need to be arranged with the supplier. Please ensure your delivery address is correct for orders placed via PCard in Amazon Business. There will be some delay due to anticipated backlog once we reopen on January 3.
Mail Services: Campus departments wishing to have their mail held should have place a mail hold online with USPS. Print and mailing suppliers must submit approvals for postage prior to 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, to ensure proper funds are available.
Warehouse Services: University Stores orders placed prior to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, and shop.msu.edu orders placed prior to 4 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, will be sent or available for pick-up prior to 3:45 p.m. on Friday, December 22. Any orders placed after the identified deadlines will not be delivered nor available for pick-up until after the storefront reopens at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
