Mail Services
At Mail Services, we:
- manage the MSU mail permit and postage funding
- act as the liaison between the US Postal Service and MSU
- fold and insert First Class mail into a window envelope
- perform billing activities
- ensure supplier compliance
Incoming mail is delivered directly to campus buildings by the Post Office. For large, outbound mailings, please submit a Service Request.
Campus Mail
Send intra-campus correspondence, typically within a campus mail envelope.
Marketing Mail
Suppliers must get Mail Services' approval for all MSU mailings, prior to entry at the US Postal Service.

UPL to close for winter break
University Procurement and Logistics will be closed in alignment with the university's winter break from December 23, 2022, through January 2, 2023. We will reopen and all services will resume (with potential delays) on Tuesday, January 3.Thanksgiving closures at UPL
University Procurement and Logistics will be closed Thursday, November 24, and Friday, November 25, 2022, for Thanksgiving break. Due to the extended weekend, Logistics will not accept hazardous materials shipments—including any shipments with dry ice—on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.Delivery delays October 26-28, 2022

- Who do I contact to have empty mail bins delivered?
To request delivery of empty mail bins, you may either:
- notify your University Procurement and Logistics driver, or
- contact either Mail Services (884-6084) or Central Shipping and Receiving (884-6203)
- How do I complete international customs forms?Customs forms are completed online through the United States Postal Service.
- When is it necessary to submit a Service Request Form?
There are four types of Service Request forms, that are used for different purposes.
- US Postal Service Mailings
- Intelligent Mail Package Barcode mailings
- FedEx/UPS/DH, or Freight
- Campus Pickup (MSU Building-to-Building Pickup and Delivery)
