At Mail Services, we:

  • manage the MSU mail permit and postage funding
  • act as the liaison between the US Postal Service and MSU
  • fold and insert First Class mail into a window envelope
  • perform billing activities
  • ensure supplier compliance

Incoming mail is delivered directly to campus buildings by the Post Office. For large, outbound mailings, please submit a Service Request.

FedEx and UPS Holiday Shipping Surcharges

This holiday season, both FedEx and UPS have shipping surcharges in effect. Mail Services can advise departments on how these surcharges may effect your mailings.

UPL to close for winter break

University Procurement and Logistics will be closed in alignment with the university's winter break from December 23, 2022, through January 2, 2023. We will reopen and all services will resume (with potential delays) on Tuesday, January 3.

Thanksgiving closures at UPL

University Procurement and Logistics will be closed Thursday, November 24, and Friday, November 25, 2022, for Thanksgiving break. Due to the extended weekend, Logistics will not accept hazardous materials shipments—including any shipments with dry ice—on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
