Import and Export Compliance

MSU exports have increased exponentially over the years, as global research and educational initiatives have continued to expand.

Importing and exporting requires proper documentation, commodity classification, and record keeping. It is necessary for you to fill out the International Shipping form (.PDF) and attach it to your package. Logistics uses this information to complete the required documentation, listed below.

  • Shippers Export Declaration Form
  • Commercial Invoice
  • NAFTA Certificate of Origin

Shipments of agricultural products, plants, and seeds may require that you obtain a photosanitary certificate from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Exports require a minimum 24-72 hour review and processing period prior to shipment.
