Supply and Demand Chain Executive's 2024 Women in Supply Chain Forum has awarded UPL’s Logistics Operations Supervisor, Susan Fennell, as a Trailblazer.
"Susan's contributions over the last 35 years to enhancing the position of women in supply chain have been too numerous to recount in detail," said nominator Jen Carmichael, Chief Logistics Officer for the University of California, Davis. "She personifies the essence of a trailblazer in our industry and continues to pave the way for the next generation of women leaders in the supply chain industry."
Susan joined Michigan State University’s Logistics team in 2009. As Operations Supervisor, Susan manages receiving and distribution operations, including more than 166,000 annual on-campus deliveries with an average receipt-to-delivery time of 4.4 hours. As a Certified Export Specialist, Susan liaises between university stakeholders and MSU’s Office of Export Control and Trade Sanctions to ensure compliance.
Susan is also passionate about educating supply chain professionals. She leads tours of supply chain operations for Broad College of Business students, assists in coordinating Take Your Child to Work Day activities, provides training on safety topics, and certifies staff in hazardous materials compliance.
UPL is proud to see Susan’s achievements and excellence in supply chain management recognized at a national level. Congratulations, Susan!
